As one browses through Steffa Reis’ sketches, the manifold motifs that have caught her attention throughout her career become apparent: her three daughters, family and friends, beloved pets, the world of music, as well as flying birds, boats, interiors and more. Part of the sketches are executed on drawing paper, while others are rendered on random scraps, whatever was at hand – just in time to catch a compelling image or a fleeting moment.
